Understanding the Event Dashboard

Learn how to use the Event Dashboard to manage event details, guests, ticketing, discounts, post blasts, visibility, and traffic insights.

The Event Dashboard is where hosts manage an event after it has been created.

From the Event Dashboard, you can update event details, manage visibility, review guests, invite attendees, set up ticketing, add discounts, send messages, and view event traffic reports.

The Event Dashboard includes these main tabs:

  • Overview
  • Guests
  • Ticketing & Registration
  • Post Blasts
  • Insight

Overview

The Overview tab shows the main information for your event.

This may include:

  • Event description
  • Event image
  • Event details
  • Edit event option
  • Visibility settings

Use this tab when you need to review or update the basic information for your event.

Edit your event

From the Overview tab, you can edit event information such as the title, description, image, date, time, location, and other event details.

Modify event visibility

You can also control who can view your event.

Visibility options include:

  • Public: Anyone can view the event.
  • Private: Only invited or approved guests can view the event.
  • Connections Only: Only your connections can view the event.

Choose the visibility setting that matches the type of event you are hosting.

For example, a public networking event may use Public, while a private gathering or invite-only event may use Private.

Guests

The Guests tab is where you manage attendees and invitations.

From this tab, you can:

  • View the attendee list
  • Review guest information
  • Invite guests
  • See a revenue report for paid events

Invite guests

You can invite guests using:

  • Phone contacts
  • Uploaded email lists
  • Contact lists from previous events you have hosted
  • Contact lists from communities where you are an Owner or Administrator

This helps you reach people who are already connected to your events or communities.

View revenue for paid events

For paid events, the Guests tab may also show a revenue report.

Use this report to track earnings connected to your event registrations or ticket sales.

Ticketing & Registration

The Ticketing & Registration tab is where you manage how people register for your event.

From this tab, you can:

  • Set ticket types
  • Set ticket prices
  • Set attendee limits
  • Add BuzzCodes for discounts

Ticket types and prices

You can create ticket options based on how you want people to attend or register.

Examples:

  • Free admission
  • General admission
  • Early bird ticket
  • VIP ticket
  • Member ticket

Attendee limits

Attendee limits help you control event capacity.

Use limits when your venue has a fixed size, your event has limited availability, or you want to create a smaller experience.

BuzzCodes

BuzzCodes are discount codes that attendees can use during checkout.

You can use BuzzCodes to offer:

  • Dollar amount discounts
  • Percentage discounts
  • Promotional offers
  • Special access discounts

BuzzCodes can also support Viral Boost, which gives attendees an additional discount when they send invitations during checkout.

Post Blasts

The Post Blasts tab lets hosts communicate with event attendees.

Post Blasts may appear:

  • On the main feed
  • By email
  • By SMS to attendees

Use Post Blasts for important event communication.

Examples:

  • Event reminders
  • Schedule updates
  • Location changes
  • Parking instructions
  • What to bring
  • Post-event follow-up
  • Thank-you messages

Post Blasts help keep attendees informed before and after the event.

Insight

The Insight tab shows traffic reports for your event page.

Use this section to understand how people are engaging with your event page.

Event insights can help you see whether your event promotion is working and whether people are visiting the event page before registering.

Why the Event Dashboard matters

The Event Dashboard gives you one place to manage the full event lifecycle.

You can use it to:

  • Keep event details accurate
  • Control who can view the event
  • Invite the right guests
  • Manage ticketing and registration

  • Communicate with attendees
  • Review event page traffic

A well-managed event page gives attendees clearer information and helps hosts stay organized before, during, and after the event.
