Adding an Event to a Community

Events on Buzzable work best when they are connected to a community. Adding an event to a community gives you a built-in audience, helps members discover your event, and gives attendees a place to stay connected after the event ends.

Who can add an event to a community?

To add an event to a community, you must be an Owner or Administrator of that community.

If you do not see the community in your list, or you are not able to create an event for it, you may not have the correct permissions.

Add an event to a community

  1. Click Create Event.
  1. On the next page, select the community you want to add the event to.
  1. Choose how you want to create the event:
      • Create Event Manually
      • Create Event with AI
      • Promote Event with External Link

Each option works differently. See the related articles below for more details.

  1. Fill in your event information, including:
      • Event title
      • Date and time
      • Location
      • Description
      • Event image or branding, if applicable
      • Any other required event details

Set up ticketing

In the Ticketing section, you can add a ticket type and set a price.

Depending on your event, you may use ticketing to:

  • Sell paid tickets
  • Create free tickets
  • Offer different ticket types
  • Manage attendance capacity

Make sure your ticket information is clear before publishing your event.

Add a BuzzCode discount

A BuzzCode is a discount code that attendees can use during checkout.

When creating a BuzzCode, you can set:

  • The discount code
  • The discount amount
  • Whether the discount is in dollars or percentage

Example:

  • WELCOME10 for 10% off
  • FRIEND5 for $5 off

Use Viral Boost discounts

BuzzCode also supports an additional discount type called Viral Boost.

A Viral Boost discount gives attendees an extra discount when they send invitations during checkout. This helps your event reach more people while giving attendees a reason to invite others.

Use Viral Boost when you want to encourage attendees to help promote the event to their friends, contacts, or community.
